Best Green Company Number 39

times-best-green-company-logo-low-resIn today’s Sunday Times, Duraweld is listed as number 39 in the The Sunday Times Best Green Companies 2010. Not bad for a small plastics manufaturer in the north of England!

Our 72 employees took a 61 point questionnaire devised by The Times to gauge staff engagement on green issues. This placed Duraweld 10th overall on staff involvement. We showed a 90% level of employee awareness about how our jobs have a bearing on the environment and more than three quarters of our company feel confident in their personal ability to influence  Duraweld’s energy use.

It is this sense of involvement, throughout our company, that sets Duraweld apart as a Green Company. We are honnored and excited to be recognised nationally for our  responsible business practices.

Duraweld’s products reflect our love of the environment too.  Ring binders are available ready to ship made from recycled vinyl; our own 100% recycled polypropylene is used to make fantastic document boxes or ring binders; travel card holders make practical promotional items made from recycled vinyl and even report covers have a conscience.
