The Endless Uses of Ring Binders
A ring binder is a simple but hugely necessary tool in every business and education system. A ring binder (most commonly an A4 ring binder) is a plastic folder that can hold punched pieces of paper securely so they are easily transported without creases or damage. With this simply made stationery tool comes a whole world of possibilities.
The more common use of a ring binder is for study purposes; in school, pupils get many paper hand outs that they must keep for reference purposes within the school year and this is where a ring binder comes in. Not only will a ring binder keep your sheets of paper together, there is the option of using tabbed file dividers to further organise and separate different kinds of work in one ring binder. Clear plastic wallets are also a clever tool to keep creases or potential water damage away from valuable files and documents. Students often use one ring binder for all their subjects in the form of a lever arch file (a ring binder but with an added lever to allow more paper to be stored).
For businesses, the uses of ring binders are endless. For example, a hotel can place a ring binder in every room with documents such as the room service menu, cleaning information and other vital things a hotel room user must know. Ring binders can be personalised to reflect a certain business or person and are easily transportable from place to place. Hotels may also use their custom binders as checking in/out books, neatly displayed on the front desk.
In the office, a ring binder can be used for containing information about a client that has not been created on a computer but is still highly valuable. At home they can also be used in different ways, for example as a recipe book. Printing off recipes and placing them into plastic wallets within a ring binder allows you to create your own personalised recipe book without buying an expensive pre-made one! They are great for the kids too—if a boy has a football card or cartoon card collection, these can easily be kept neat, organised and safe in a ring binder. For a more practical use, they can be used to keep monthly bills in so they don’t get lost at an inopportune time.
Using a ring binder couldn’t be simpler and with its versatility and large amount of uses, this is a stationery item that will never go out of fashion.
