Stationery for School Trips

While the annual school trip is the highlight of the year for many students, many teachers feel the opposite. Taking a group of children to a different place and being completely responsible for them for several days is difficult work. Even harder is trying to get them to learn when all they want to do is stay up all night giggling with their friends and enjoy being away from home. Teachers have to take a lot of things with them to try and get students to learn while they are away.

Some of the most important and simple things they must take on the school trip are hardwearing document boxes, whether it be to hold work sheets that the students must complete in the day time or if it is to hold journals they should be completing each night. Document boxes are sturdy and can hold enough sheets to cater for large groups of students. They are also easy to store so they can be easily taken on the coach or minibus to the location of the school trip without any hassle. Transporting the sheets in document boxes is much easier than trying to take dozens of loose sheets of paper across the country. It also means that they can be brought back together and taken straight into the classroom quickly.

Clipboards are also vital to the smooth running of any school trip. Students may be walking around in the day taking data or writing about their findings and using a clipboard is a much quicker, easier way of doing this than having to stop every five seconds so people can find something to lean on so they can write on. Good clipboards can hold a lot of pieces of paper so students can change between the work sheets they are using quickly and easily.

Paper wallets are also useful on trips if students are going somewhere where they might not need a clipboard. For example, if they are visiting a museum or art gallery they might keep all of their sheets in one folder for the day and then sit in the gallery or museum to do work. This could also be the case if they are on an art trip and are visiting places they can sit and sketch. Using a paper wallet would also allow students to keep their pens and pencils together and any other information they may want to take from previous day’s work.

School trips can be stressful but they can be made much easier by using the right equipment. Teachers are able to enjoy themselves too if they prepare and of course if the children behave!
