Green Handover

On the 11 July 2013 Duraweld’s Environmental Coordinator Victoria Pitts will be leaving to pastures new after 7 years of being at the company.  During that period she has initiated,continued to monitor and implement improvements to the ISO14001 EMS; facilitated carbon footprint reductions; embedded a strong environmental ethos through Twenty Steps and developed Duraweld’s new Circle of Responsible Environmental (CORE) Practice objectives.  During that period she has also raised the company’s environmental profile through the BITC Environmental Index for Yorkshire and Humber, as well as enabling the company to be listed in The Sunday Times Best Green Companies in 2010 and 2011.  The “Green” reigns will be taken over by Keith Dawson, General Manager of Duraweld Ltd, who has had extensive experience of integrated managements systems and will continue to be supported by the Green Team and all employees at the company.
