Duraweld continues to support local Dell-ve into Nature project

Dez Paley, Duraweld & David Spencer, Groundwork
Scarborough – based Duraweld, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of customised presentation, packaging and printed stationery products, today presented 100 clipboards to local project ‘Dell-ve into Nature’ to support their work with local schools.
The clipboards will be used by local school children when they visit the ‘Dell-ve into Nature’ site, at Eastfield, Scarborough. The donation forms part of a programme of support Duraweld has given to the project this year, which has also involved Duraweld’s staff planting trees and maintaining a wildflower meadow in the local area.
The Dell-ve into Nature project, which is based at Scarborough Town Hall, has received funds from Natural England through the Access to Nature Scheme, part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Changing Spaces programme. It will run until April 2012, providing finance and support for amenity, education and biodiversity improvements on the Dell.
Dez Paley, a member of Duraweld’s Green Team said: “Duraweld has many employees who live in the vicinity of The Dell so helping the Dell-ve into nature project is close to our hearts. It has been fantastic seeing the area develop into a diverse habitat for local people and wildlife to enjoy.”
Dell Nature Ranger, David Spencer, said. “Companies such as Duraweld make a big difference to projects like this – when funding is tight it is great to think people are still passionate about the natural environment and its effect on our wellbeing.”
