Feelin’ Green natural ring binder

A beautifully crafted natural ring binder with two rings, made from 100% recycled board, which will biodegrade or can be recycled. The spines are reinforced with biodegradable jute, and the ring mechanisms contain up to 55% recycled material.

Bob assisted in conducting a review and recommended that there was a potential to consolidate the warehousing and production to one site. Duraweld now has better use of factory space and a more efficient handling of warehouse components.

 
Bob also worked with Duraweld to identify and improve non-value added (NVA) activity. His work has directly impacted:

 
• Layout of specific processes to reduce the ‘waste’ of people and product movement
• Reduction of change over times by 28% in the Printing Department
• Reduction in work in progress levels to improve product flow

Here are our top tips on how to ‘bling’ your binder:

Expanded vinyl – go for the luxury look! Expanded vinyl has been treated to change its thickness and texture, giving a thicker, slightly spongy and sumptuous finish.

 
Leather-effect vinyl – when you want to impress, leather-effect vinyl fits the bill. Ideal for conference folders and hand books.

 
Fasteners – on polypropylene binders, a welded strap can be fixed to secure your ring-binder around the middle.

 
Press-studs and magnetic closures keep everything firmly where it should be.

 
Pen loops – there are always times when you desperately need a pen, especially at conferences and meetings. A pen loop will ensure that you have one in your binder when it matters most.

 
Foil blocking – why have your name printed onto a binder when you can have it emblazoned onto the front in gold foil? A classic way to add some bling!

 
Welded pockets – great for making sure that important business card or that vital CD is never mislaid.

 
Self-adhesive pockets – if you’re buying stock binders on the website, then self-adhesive pockets are a great substitute for welded pockets, and do the same job!

The clipboards will be used by local school children when they visit the ‘Dell-ve into Nature’ site in Scarborough. The donation forms part of a programme of support Duraweld has given to the project this year, which has also involved staff planting trees and maintaining a wildflower meadow in the local area.
