Nine Uses For The Humble Clipboard
The clipboard is a fantastically useful item of stationery. Here are a few every day uses for the kids, art lovers, office workers and hobbyists.
For Kids
1. Use them for the kids to rest on while they are colouring on a long journey; to hold the ‘eye-spy’ sheet for kids to cross of things they see along the way and flip it over and you have an instant lap tray for your in-car snacks!
2. Countdown calendar – to summer holiday – or even the weekend, simply tear off a page a day!
3. Who’s in the house? A simple checklist with everyone’s name on it means you can keep track on nocturnal teenagers and leave messages in a central place.
For the Art Lover
4. A quick funky looking holder for your work in progress artwork or as an interim display – or cover with glass for a longer term solution.
5. Take your sketches on the road – you’ll always have somewhere to rest your sketch book if you keep a clipboard on you.
In the Workplace
6. Work on reception? Well you’ll always be asking visitors to complete paperwork. Why not give them the luxury of a clipboard to lean on? Most have a pen loop – so there will always be a biro handy!
7. Turn scrap paper into a note pad by clipping to a clipboard.
For Hobbies
8. Take your hobby to the garden. Sitting is the shade of a tree resting on your clipboard. How relaxing?
9. Clip your recipes; instructions; measurements or layout to a clipboard and prop it conveniently close to where you are doing your DIY.
